Professional Internship

Throughout the Capstone year, program participants engage in a professional internship for a total of 200 hours. Preliminary placements are made in late August based on students’ academic and professional interests. Several introductory visits to internship sites during the fall semester enable students to better familiarize themselves with the nature of their internship work and make any necessary adjustments before moving to a full 7-hour per week work schedule in the spring. The program also arranges several specialist-led seminars on professional etiquette and workplace norms in Kazakhstan to prepare students and develop their cultural understanding prior to the official start of their internships.
