The Russian Overseas Flagship Program is hosted by al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan, which is one of the leading institutions of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It includes 14 functioning faculties, 98 departments, 20 scientific research institutes and centers, and employs more than 2,000 professors, doctors, scientific candidates and PhDs. The student body consists of over 18,000 undergraduate and graduate students. KazNU cooperates with 418 international universities on joint international educational programs and exchange programs for students.
